§ Mr. EggarThe Director General of Water Services is appointed by the Secretary of State for the Environment and the Secretary of State for Wales and information about his salary is a matter for them.

Mr. Bryan Carsberg—now Sir Bryan—was appointed from July 1984 at an initial salary of £50,000 per annum.
