HC Deb 22 June 1995 vol 262 c408W
Mr. John D. Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many accidents there have been this year along the Old Milltown road, Shaw's Bridge, Castlereagh; how many of these road accidents have involved pedestrians; what proposals there are for a footway along this road; what proposals there are to make the Old Milltown road a one-way road; what proposals there are for calming measures at the Old Milltown road; and if he will make a statement about road safety at this location. [28978]

Mr. Moss

On the road in question, there has been one recorded injury accident this year—no pedestrians were involved. There are no proposals to provide a footway, a one-way system or traffic calming measures at Old Milltown road. The accident history at this location compares favourably with that at similar locations throughout the Belfast area.
