§ Mr. NewtonThe Government are committed to the principles set out in the regional platform for action agreed at the conference in question, and have pursued these through a wide range of programmes and initiatives. As indicated in my reply to the hon. Lady of 4 May, 60 per cent. of staff in my Department are women. I am considering the recommendation in the White Paper "Taking Forward Continuity and Change" regarding the publication of material on equal opportunities.
