§ Mr. RichardsIdentifiable Government expenditure on education in Wales in 1993–94, the most recent year for which complete data are available was £1,688 million, of which £165 million was expenditure by Department for Education on mandatory student awards for further and higher education. I will write to the hon. Member with further details of the breakdown of Welsh Office expenditure between sectors, and place a copy of the letter in the Library of the House.
