§ Mr. JackThe Ministry has a major monitoring programme with a network of locations at which samples of biota, sediments and the water column are taken. Measurements are made of a wide range of substances and biological responses to assess the impact on the marine environment of human activities, on land and at sea. The results of this monitoring are published annually.
