§ Mr. LangDr. W. Moyes began a two years' secondment with the British Linen Bank in October 1994. He is a grade 5 officer and prior to his secondment was head of the purchasing strategy division in the NHS management executive. This move is part of a civil service-wide initiative to encourage interchange between Government, commerce and industry; its purpose is to develop staff by widening their skills and experience, and to promote greater understanding between these sectors.
