To ask the Secretary of State for Health what measures are in place to ensure that NHS staff receive statutory breaks. [25930]

Staff management matters, such as the observance of statutory breaks in the working day, are the responsibility of employing authorities and national health service trusts as autonomous employers. Like other employers, they are expected to observe any statutory requirements.
