HC Deb 06 June 1995 vol 261 c85W
Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will bring up to date his answer dated 15 March 1983,Official Report, column 96, concerning bank advances to industry. [25617]

Mr. Nelson

The company accounts analysis, which was the basis of the previous reply, is no longer conducted. Alternatively, information from the national accounts is given in the table; data for earlier years are not available on a consistent basis and there is no separate information for manufacturing companies. The source series are published in table 10.6c of "Financial Statistics".
