HC Deb 06 June 1995 vol 261 cc145-6W
Mr. Key

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many people are currently employed at A and AEE Boscombe down in each of the categories(a) military personnel, (b) civilian staff, (c) contractors and (d) others. [26640]

Mr. Soames

This is a matter for the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency DERA—under its framework document. I have asked the chief executive, DERA to write to the hon. Member.

Letter from John Chisholm to Mr. Robert Key, dated 6 June 1995: In todays written answer the Secretary of State for Defence informed you that I would be replying to your question concerning the number of people currently employed at Boscombe Down since I am now responsible for the day to day running of the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA), which includes the Defence Test and Evaluation Organisation (DTEO) site at Boscombe Down, formerly A&AEE. The numbers of people in their respective categories are currently as follows:

Civilians Military Contractors Others Total
1060 497 450 42 2049
I hope this is helpful.
