Whether they will make representations to the Angolan Government about their continued employment of 3,000 mercenaries provided by Executive Outcomes, contrary to the Lusaka Protocol, at a cost reported in South African papers to be 40 million dollars.
§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyWe have called in the Security Council for the prompt departure of mercenaries from Angola in accordance with the Lusaka Protocol. We take every opportunity to urge the signatories to respect all the provisions of the protocol.
