§ Sir Patrick MayhewOn 27 April 1995, I announced the Government's intention to introduce race relations legislation in Northern Ireland by means of an Order in Council. As part of that process, a draft proposal will be published in due course which, among other things, will suggest how that legislation might be administered. The institutional arrangements for enforcing the legislation, including the establishment of a race relations body, are therefore still under consideration.
