§ Mr. Jonathan EvansI am unable to place a copy of the Director General of Fair Trading's report on his inquiry into brewer's wholesale pricing policy in the Library of the House. This is because the report contains information on particular businesses whose disclosure, without the consent of the businesses in question, is prohibited by section 133 of the Fair Trading Act 1973. Such consent has not been given. However, the director general issued a press notice on 16 May which contained a summary of the inquiry's findings. A copy of this is already available in the Library of the House. In addition, the affected parties have been provided with some more information on the conduct of the inquiry and its conclusions.
