To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many companies were invited by his Department to tender for the study into how the private sector might be involved in all or part of the business of Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd. [35714]

Nine companies were invited to submit written proposals for the study.

The overall cost of the study will not exceed £60,000 including VAT.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what were the precise terms of reference given to Quayle Munro Ltd in respect of their study of how the private sector might be involved in all or part of the business of Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd; and if he will eventually publish the finding of the study.
