§ Mr. Jonathan Evans[holding answer 14 July 1995]: In the 12 months starting 1 July 1994 there were 74 redundancies from the Department, of which 61 were voluntary.
The information requested on the sum spent on redundancy payments will take some time to prepare. I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
