§ Mr. David ShawTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the work his Department has carried out in the last 12 months in making information about his Department available to the public via the Government World Wide Web server known as www.open.gov.uk and his plans and policies to make additional and new information available electronically on the server in the next 12 months. § Mr. HagueMy Department has made available information, in both English and Welsh languages, on private finance initiative projects within Wales via the CCTA Government Information Service. The portfolio "Investment Opportunities in the South Wales Valleys" will also be published shortly via the CCTA service.
The Department continues to review information suitable for dissemination via the Internet and expects to make greater use of it in the near future.
Consideration is currently being given to the Welsh Office being an Internet information site in its own right.
