§ Mr. RichardsProvision is currently at the discretion of local education authorities. The local government revenue settlement is unhypothecated in Wales and it is for local authorities themselves to decide how that settlement is spent.

§ Mr. RichardsThe following table shows pupil numbers at local education authority nursery or primary schools. For primary school pupils, all pupils aged three or four are included irrespective of whether they are taught in nursery or ordinary classes. Comparable figures for part-time pupils are not available for 1980.
