§ Sir Nicholas BonsorThe siting of the Antarctic treaty secretariat was discussed at the XIXth Antarctic treaty consultative meeting in Seoul in May. Treaty parties noted that there was still no progress on reaching a consensus on this issue. The next consultative meeting will take place in the Netherlands in April 1996, when it is expected that the matter will be taken forward.
