To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what is the administration cost per claimant of(a) unemployment benefit, (b) severe disablement allowance and (c) incapacity benefit. [35250]

Information on the administration costs of benefits is not available in the format requested. Available information, as published in the 1995 Social Security Department report, is as follows:

1994–95 annual reports and accounts for the Benefits, Child Support, Contributions, Information Technology services and War Pensions Agencies. Copies of these, and the Resettlement Agency's annual report, have been placed in the Library.

I have also today published "Child Support Agency—National Client Satisfaction Survey 1994" and copies have been placed in the Library.
