§ Mr. BurtIn the year ending 30 June 1995 there were 58 applications to industrial tribunals for unfair dismissal brought against the Department. Three of these were unsuccessful, six were withdrawn, two were settled before a hearing and 47 are waiting to be heard. Information on legal costs is not readily available and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
