§ Mrs. BrowningThe draft EC regulation on novel foods and novel food ingredients currently under discussion in Brussels will introduce compulsory labelling to indicate the presence in a food, including genetically modified foods, of ethically sensitive material, material which may have health implications for certain sections of the population and the presence within the food of a genetically modified organism, as defined by directive 90/220/EEC, if it has not been modified solely for agronomic reasons.
