§ Mr. Boswell[holding answer 11 July 1995]: The protection and enhancement of the rural and marine environment is an important aim of the Ministry. It is pursued through a number of programmes and the resources associated with each programme, including administration costs, are given in chapter 3 of the annual report, a copy of which is lodged in the Library of the House. Records are not kept of staff numbers associated with specific aims and programmes.
