To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what targets have been set for the Chessington Computer Centre trading fund for the current financial year. [33220]

Mr. Horam

I have set the following targets for Chessington Computer Centre in 1995–96:

  1. (1) to achieve an operating surplus of £1.137 million;
  2. (2) to increase pay clerk productivity by 7 per cent. over 1994–95 performance;

  3. (3) to increase use of the on-line data capture system (SPIRE) to 85 per cent.;
  4. (4) to maintain the minimum on line service availability at 98.5 per cent.;
  5. (5) to improve the range of services available to customers, in particular, to meet their needs on pay delegation.
