§ Mr. MacleanWe are aware of 19 incidents since the beginning of 1993 involving firearms which have been identified as being previously deactivated and then reactivated to working condition. The standards to which firearms are deactivated have been comprehensively reviewed. Revised, more stringent, specifications will be introduced shortly.
