§ Mr. ArbuthnotHMS Andromeda was sold to the Indian navy in March this year. It is not our practice to reveal details of such sales in the interest of customer confidentiality, but I can say that the price realised directly to the taxpayer met the criteria given in my reply to the hon. Member for Dunfermline, West (Ms Squire) of 14 February,Official Report, column 613. The sale has also generated work for a number of British companies in the refit and spares support fields.
