§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeGross domestic product by territory is published in table 12.1 of "Regional Trends" 1995 edition on a calendar year basis only, while general Government expenditure by territory is published in table 7.7 of the statistical supplement to the "Financial Statement an Budget Report 1995–96", Cm 2821, on a financial year basis only. In England and Wales, identifiable general Government expenditure on education in 1993–94 accounted for 6.1 per cent. of GDP for 1993.
