When they expect to publish revised guidance in respect of local government archive services.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of National Heritage (Viscount Astor)

On Monday 3 July, my officials distributed advance copies of the guidance to the local authority associations, to members of the Advisory Council on Libraries, to the Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts and to the other experts who have assisted the department in preparing the text. I intend to issue the guidance formally on 19 July.
