§ Mr. GoodladThe FCO—diplomatic wing and ODA—processed more than 20,000 travel and subsistence claims in each of the financial years 1993–94 and 1994–95. These do not include claims processed by posts abroad. Information on total payments broken down by public transport, car mileage allowance and bicycle allowances is not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
