To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what plans he has to enforce labelling relating to gastroenteritis rates on infant formula feeds [31292]

There is no requirement in the Infant Formula and Follow-on Formula Regulations 1995, or in EC Directives 91/321 or 95/52 which these implement, on labelling relating to gastroenteritis rates on infant formula feeds. There are no plans to introduce one.

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the expected date of publication of draft regulations further to directives 91/321/EEC and 92/52/EEC relating to infant formula feeds. [31294]

The Infant Formula and Follow-on Formula Regulations 1995 (S.I.1995 No.77), implementing Directives 91/321/EEC and 92/52/EEC, were published in February 1995 and came into force on 1 March 1995. A copy is available in the Library of the House.
