§ Mr. EggarThe proposed new section 39(2A) of the Gas Act provides that the Director General must report annually to Parliament on the extent of effective competition and on developments in respect of that competition. That will enable Parliament and the public to make appropriate judgments on the effectiveness of the director's work.
