Mr. Robin Cook

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list by each objective and by each other community initiative, including RECHAR and INTERREG the value of assistance received under the European agriculture guidance and guarantee fund both nationally and for each standard region of the United Kingdom for each year since 1989. [holding answer 29 June 1995]: A table containing details of receipts under the EAGGF guidance section is set out in the table. All expenditure was under objective 5a of the structural funds—promoting rural development by speeding up the adjustment of agricultural structures in the framework of the reform of the common agricultural policy. The EAGGF guidance section has not provided funding for Community initiatives other than INTERREG and LEADER.
