§ Mr. Lang[holding answer 29 June 1995]: The director of my Department's information directorate, Ms Elizabeth Drummond, was recruited in April 1992 following an open recruitment campaign.
Ms Drummond's early career was spent with the Government Information Service. Immediately prior to joining the Scottish Office, she was employed by Westminster city council as head of public relations and publicity.
