§ Mr. Robert B. JonesThe Government welcome the focus on the efficient delivery of, cost-effective services which stems from the creation of an internal market for local authority services. From 1995–96, local authorities will be required to prepare and publish a statement of support service costs, setting out the full cost of support services. Making costs transparent through the framework of this statement will further stimulate the development of internal markets.
