§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThere are no plans to include provisions relating to the employment of children in the Children (Scotland Bill). The Government are committed, however, to making changes in the regulation of employment of children in line with the European Community directive on the protection of young people at work. The Scottish Office Education Department and the Department of Health are currently consulting education authorities about this.
