§ Mr. GoodladThe European Union expressed concern in July and November 1994 about heightened tension in East Timor. The UN Secretary-General made an appeal on 9 January 1995 to East Timorese of all shades of opinion to exercise restraint. We look to the Indonesian Government to act similarly.
