§ Mr. Gareth WardellTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the public bodies in Wales that have been given notice by the Welsh Language Board to propose a scheme in accordance with section 5 of the Welsh Language Act 1993.
§ Mr. RichardsNo public bodies will be given notice to prepare a Welsh language scheme until guidelines as to the form and content of such schemes, issued under section 9 of the Act, have been approved by my right hon. Friend and by Parliament. The Welsh Language Board is currently consulting on draft guidelines.
