To ask the Secretary of State for Education if she will list by local education authority the total amount of balances held by schools in England.

For the financial year ending on 31 March 1994, the following table provides the information requested in respect of all LEAs from whom the Department has received outturn statements prepared for that year under section 42 of the Education Reform Act 1988.
