To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the absenteeism rate for Ordnance Survey in each year since 1991.

Responsibility for the subject of the question has been delegated to Ordnance Survey under its chief executive, Professor Rhind. I have asked him to arrange for a reply to be given.

Letter from David Rhind to Mr. David Chidgey, dated 16 January 1995: The Secretary of State for the Environment has asked me to reply to your Question about rates of absenteeism in Ordnance Survey. The information you requested is contained in the table below. It has been supplied by the Occupational Health Service who have confirmed that similar information for 1994 is not yet available.
