§ Mr. Chidgey
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what estimates his Department have made of the percentage of total motorists owning a current copy of the highway code.

§ Mr. Norris
On the basis of sales figures provided by HMSO, about 20 per cent. of motorists, some 6.8 million, have bought a copy of the current edition of the highway code.
