§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe European Commission's proposal for a trans-European transport network, as currently drafted, includes the following railway lines:
- Holyhead-Crewe
- Aberystwyth-Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton-Birmingham
- Fishguard-Cardiff-London
The Government have proposed to the Commission a number of additional rail lines. These include:
- Clarbeston Road-Milford Haven
- Whitland-Pembroke Dock
- Newport-Hereford-Shrewsbury-Crewe
- Cardiff-Birmingham
