§ Mrs. BeckettTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what was her Department's budget for health education in each of the last five years; and what is the projected budget for the next three years.
§ Mr. Sackville[holding answer 13 January 1995]: Expenditure on health education falls to a number of budgets. Apart from funding for the Health Education Authority in 1994–95—to date, £36,984,000—and expenditure on health education publicity campaigns run by the Department, there is other, unquantifiable, expenditure on a variety of services and programmes which involve elements of health education, run by health authorities, trusts and other agencies.
