§ Mr. HeppellTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what plans he has to ensure an integrated approach to sport following the severing of links between the east midlands regional council for sport and recreation and the English Sports Council.
§ Mr. SproatThe Sports Council's regional offices will continue to work closely with a wide range of regional parties in furtherance of the council's particular national policy objectives. The regional offices will also wish to maintain close links with local authorities and regional sporting interests as those agencies develop their own wider strategies for general leisure provisions.
