HC Deb 16 January 1995 vol 252 c281W
Mr. Morley

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what plans he has for new or amended regulations governing the maximum number of people allowed on non-passenger cargo boats.

Mr. Norris

The maximum number of passengers permitted on non-passenger cargo ships is 12. This limitation is accepted nationally and internationally through long-standing safety conventions and there are no plans to change it.
