§ Mr. MossIn Northern Ireland integrated health and personal social services are supplied by health boards, trusts, general practitioner fund holders and the Central 237W Services Agency for the Health and Personal Social Services. Their total expenditure on the purchase of health and personal social services from non-NHS/HPSS providers was as follows:

The accounts of the health and social services boards were revised in 1992–93 to take account of the separation of the purchaser-provider functions. Consequently, the financial information given is not readily available prior to this date.
Health and social services trusts and general practitioner fund-holders were established in Northern Ireland with effect from 1 April 1993, and therefore the figures for 1992–93 relate exclusively to health boards' expenditure.
