HC Deb 10 January 1995 vol 252 c120W
Dr. Goodson-Wickes

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what funds have been made available for the treatment of AIDS in 1993–94 and 1994–95 in(a) absolute terms and (b) as a percentage of the NHS budget.

Mr. Sackville

The amount of funding made available specifically for the treatment of HIV and AIDS services was £148 million in 1993–94 and £164 million in 1994–95. As a percentage of the total NHS budget, we estimate this to be approximately 0.5 per cent. in each year.
