§ Mr. BaldrySince 1978 the European Community has provided to Syria a total of 461 mecu, or £362.9 million—exchange rate February 1995, 1 ecu equals £0.7889—of which the UK share was approximately 16 per cent. This support forms part of the EC's programme of assistance for all Mediterranean non-member states.
