§ Mr. Llew SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will authorise the United Kingdom permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency board of governors in Vienna to request that the agency investigates whether manufactured nuclear warheads were hidden from the IAEA investigation team which verified South Africa's non-nuclear status in connection with South Africa's application to become a member state of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
§ Mr. David DavisThe International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed South Africa's non-nuclear weapon status in 1993. We have no plans to request another investigation.
