§ Mr. SoamesMy Department's defence lands service is responsible for ensuring that the integrity of the estate is preserved. The value of the defence estate lies in its ability to meet the legitimate requirements of the armed forces; any property not required to meet this requirement in the most cost-effective way is passed for disposal.
