HC Deb 21 February 1995 vol 255 c147W
Mr. Ainger

To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what representations he has received on television licensing's monthly budget plan in respect of the requirement to pay six months in advance before the licence is valid.

Mr. Dorrell

[holding answer 17 February 1995]: Any such representations would be transferred to the BBC, which is responsible for the administration of the television licensing system, including easy payment schemes, and deals with correspondence on this subject. It is not possible to identify from the Department's records the number of representations transferred to the BBC, which related to the monthly budget plan.
