To ask the Secretary of State for Education what plans she has to extend education provision for children before the age of four.

Mr. Forth

The Prime Minister's commitment is to provide, over time, good quality pre-school places for all four-year-olds whose parents wish them to it take up. There are no plans as yet to extend the commitment to younger children.
