The Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question about the number of Jobcentres that have been closed down in the past 15 years in Scotland, by region.Unfortunately this information is not fully available. Figures can only be provided from 1989/90, the year in which the Employment Service became an Agency.Since that date, one Jobcentre has closed in the regional authority area of Strathclyde. This office was Dalmellington.
